A long line and a dream

This is how Ruth Ane Shuck's story at the Swan network began, 20 years with the company completed last December.

“I remember there were 8 people in front of me to be interviewed. I was already losing hope, but the doorman Miguel told me: Calm down, the last will be the first. And that's exactly how it happened. I had another interview with the family later and got the job”, recalls Ruth, who started her career at Swan as an administrative assistant.

Little by little, she took on new administrative responsibilities while watching the company grow: “With new units and issues in the segment itself that became more complex, I incorporated a new range of daily tasks”, she highlights by listing some of them, such as contract management, relationships with investors and public bodies and fiscal analysis of invoices.

During this time, one of the most memorable moments experienced was during the Covid-19 pandemic. “Although it was a period of great anguish, it allowed us to be creative in order to have more digitalized processes”, says Ruth, who also noticed from that time on an increase in the sense of urgency in providing care to the units, giving greater dynamism to her routine.

Another striking and very simple moment is related to Ruth’s own personality. “One day, our CEO commented that I was responsible for the happiness of the sector. It was a very special recognition, which shows that in some way I have already left my mark on the company”, he is emotional.



Ruth's 20-year professional career at Swan not only revealed exciting or changing moments. There were also beautiful learning experiences: “It was all worth it. The important thing is to have attitude and always believe. It was my destiny to be here”, he concludes.
