Sintra is located 40 minutes by train from Lisbon and is one of the most attractive cities in Europe.


Its fame is mainly due to the medieval castle and palaces with beautiful landscapes that were designed by Portuguese royalty and elite who spent their rest days in the city. The atmosphere is romantic and almost magical.

One of the largest palaces in the country, considered one of the 7 wonders of Portugal, it was initially a monastery that was renovated over the years, which is why the Pena Palace has romantic architecture and an interior full of architectural styles. The palace served as a summer residence for the Portuguese royal family and received all its members until the Proclamation of the Republic in 1910.
